On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: 07.04.2019 4 mm Aphodius pusillus (Esymus) im Schafkot. Erstes Hintertarsenglied lang, so lang wie die beiden folgenden, bei Enddorne hinten gleichlang, Halsschildvorderecken aufgehellt und stumpfe Beule vor der Naht auf dem Kopf.

Comment: Hallo Dietrich, das sieht nach einem Vertreter der Gattung Stenagostus aus. Aber irgendwie will nichts so richtig passen bei dem. Der S. rufus ist in NO auch nur als verschleppt gemeldet. Und bei rhombeus müsste man eigentlich eine Auflichtung der Fld.-Behaarung sehen. Es bleibt irgendwie komisch. LG, Christoph

Request: 08.04.2019 - Elateridae so.! 4-5 mm klein, das Tier hat sich beim Messversuch auf den Rücken gedreht, was ich als Aufforderung verstanden habe, die Unterseite abzulichten, bevor ich den Kleinen vorsichtig wieder umgedreht habe. Ich dachte an eine dieser kleinen Adrastus Arten, aber das ist eigentlich nur geraten :-/ Aargau, Frick auf ca. 340 m üNN. Dankeschön für Euren stets freundliche Hilfe! LG Chris

Request: Amboise, Frankreich, Tal der Amasse, 8.4.2019. Der Käfer überquerte einem Waldweg. Er sah schon ein wenig mitgenommen aus und wurde von Fliegen attackiert, die schillernd blaue Farbe war teilweise abgetragen. Ca. 50mm lang.
