On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: 17.04.2019 - (KI: Onthophagus coenobita, 56%, Rang 1) bei dem Prozentsatz an Bestimmungssicherheit werde ich Klein-Kerbies Vorschlag sicher nicht mit einem Fragezeichen verschandeln ;-) Das Tier begegnete mir jedenfalls zum ersten Mal. Es landete direkt vor mir auf einem Feldweg und war gemessen 8 mm klein. So kugelig wie es ist, war es schwer alle Körperteile auf einem Foto gut sichtbar zu erfassen. Foto B zeigt das Köpfchen, Foto C den Popo. Nachdem sich der kleine Kerl auf den Boden fallen liess, hat er sich sofort in die Erde verdrückt. Aargau, Eiken auf ca. 330 m üNN. Vielen Dank für Euren Grosseinsatzt! LG Chris
