On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: Die Borkenkäfer waren an diesem Tag allgegenwärtig, im Bergischen Land haben die Tierchen ziemlich getobt. Der hier war 5mm lang und ich vermute Ips typographus. Das Foto des Fraßbildes ist leider eher für den Popo ;). Gefunden an geschlagenem Nadelholz, am 19.04.2019.

Request: Diesen Käfer fand ich heute (28.4.19) zertreten auf einer Haustreppe - also Totfund. Auch ohne Fühler würde ich sagen, das war mal ein Bock. Die Reste sind 30 mm lang. Kommt Ihr hier noch weiter? Schönen Dank!

Comment: Hallo Kalli, na na na, ein Bock! Wenn, dann war es höchstens der Nullbock-Bock (Cerambyx generationis-x). Das war mal ein Maikäfer, Gattung Melolontha. Das Pygidium ist ihm leider weggetrampelt worden, also geht's nicht zur Art. LG, Christoph
