On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Comment: Hallo Michl, der richtige kam dann erst auf Rang 5, es ist Pachyrhinus lethierryi. Der hat so ein kurzen, "füllig" wirkenden Kopf und schwarze Bortsen zwischen den grünen Schuppen, und er lebt an Zypressen, also gern in Gärten, wo welche stehen. Danke für die Meldung. LG, Christoph

Request: Hallo Käferteam, heute nochmal eine Art von den Malediven. 13.05.2019, Insel Gan/Südmalediven (Addu-Atoll), 44 mm lang, erinnert an einen weiblichen Oryctes nasicornis, ist vielleicht auch aus der Sippe, denn es soll hier einen Nashornkäfer geben, der sich an den Kokospalmen vergreift. Weibliche Tiere habe ich schon mehrere gesehen, männliche noch nicht. Viele Grüße aus dem 35° warmen Inselparadies
