On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: Liebe Käferexperten,
circa 5 - 6 mm war dieser Rüsselkäfer lang, den ich am 12.05.2019 im NSG Hiesfelder Wald beobachtet habe. Ich bin bei Curculio gelandet, aber da kommen ja einige in Betracht und möglicherweise ist es noch etwas ganz anderes. Könnt Ihr da helfen?

Request: Liebe Käferexperten,
diesen recht großen (ca. 10 mm) Rüsselkäfer habe ich am 12.05.2019 im NSG Hiesfelder Wald auf einer Rot-Buche (Fagus sylvatica) gefunden. Weil er recht stark abgeflogen ist, tue ich mich besonders schwer damit, ihn einzuordnen. Habt Ihr eine Idee?

Request: 18.05.2019, 21:15 bei fortgeschrittener Dämmerung, im Haus (durch offene Tür hereingekommen), gut 12-13 mm groß (ohne Beine),kräftige Krallen, mit denen er sich überall so festhalten konnte, dass ein Lösen ohne Gewaltanwendung nicht möglich gewesen wäre. Ich habe ihn mit einem Blatt Papier ausgetrickst, um ihn erst auf die Hand und dann ins Freie zu bekommen. Fotovergleiche und KI haben nicht weitergeholfen. Curculionidae?
