View answered requests for beetle ID
|
On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Gernot

Request: Beetle found in Czech mountains (Hruby Jesenik), forest around Praded.
Species, family:
cf. Otiorhynchus sp.
Curculionidae
Comment: Hi Inja, this appears to be another species of Otiorhynchus, different from the one depicted in #13697. Here, the beetle hides its head, which makes even determination of the genus somewhat dubious ... Regards, Michael

Comment: HIi Inja, again you challenge us with difficult mountain species from the eatern middle Europe .. and again we cannot help to identify the species. Seeing all your pictures, some of us start dreaming about visiting the Carpathians ... Otiorhynchus sp. is all we can do without wild guessing. Best wishes, Michael

Request: Hallo Kerbtier-Team,
zugegeben kein besonders gutes Foto.

Brennnessel (Urtica) auftritt. LG, Christoph
