On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Auf meinen Margeriten tummeln sich zur Zeit Unmengen Anthrenus-Arten. Eine davon habe ich heute fotografiert und ich denkle, es handelt sich um Anthrenus museorum. Was meint ihr?
Funddaten: Deutschland, Saarland, Bexbach, 03. Juni 2014, Höhe 249 m ü. NN

Comment: Hello Macroab, have a look at the scutellum, which is square in C. glandium and C. nucum. I can't see a trace of setae at the apex of the elytral suture. That favors C. glandium. With a slight uncertainty. Best regards, Christoph

Comment: Hallo Ruby, das ist ein Vertreter der Tribus Hylobiini, und zwar Gattung Donus. Du gibt's aber einiges an Arten, vor allem in den montanen bis subalpinen Lagen der Alpen. Eine Bestimmung am Foto wage ich hier nicht. LG, Christoph

Comment: Hallo Ruby, das ist der Zylindrische Walzenhalsbock Phytoecia cylindrica. Paläarktisch verbreitet, südliches Nordeuropa bis Südeuropa, Kleinasien, Kaukasus, bis Sibirien. Larve im Wurzelhals von Doldenblütlern (Umbelliferae). Bei uns aus praktisch allen Bundesländern gemeldet, nicht gefährdet, findet man trotzdem nicht so häufig. LG, Christoph

Request: habe heute im Garten auf einer Schittlauchblüte diesen Käfer gesehen und frage nun an, ob es sich um den Trichius fascinatus handelt oder einen andern Pinselkäfer. Fundort: Schwarzenberg, Kanton Luzern, CH, 800m ü M, in verwildertem Garten mit viel Totholz.

Comment: Hallo Adina, der montane Fundort, die durchgehende schwarze Baselbinde der Fld. sowie die klingenförmige Mittelbinde machen ihn zu T. fasciatus, auch wenn man das eigentliche Merkmal, den Kerbzahn der Mittelschienen nicht sieht. LG, Christoph

Comment: Hallo Triller, dass er nass ist macht es nicht einfacher. Es ist Tournotaris bimaculatus, bei uns zur Zeit noch in der Gattung Notaris belassen. Von Japan über Sibirien und ganz Europa verbreitet, im Süden seltener. In Feuchtgebieten an Rohrkolben. Viele Grüße, Michael
