On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Comment: Hallo Martin, mit dem trapezförmigen Kopf und dem deutlichen Bronzeschein von Kopf und Halschild darfst Du ihn als Platydracus chalcocephalus ablegen. Vergleich die beiden mal (Kopfform und -farbe sowie Tomentflecke der Tergite beachten). Mittel- und Südosteuropa, Kaukasus. In der Tiefebene selten, häufiger in collinen Lagen. In Wäldern und an Waldrändern. An frischem Pferde- und Rinderkot, faulenden Pilzen und Aas. LG, Christoph

Comment: Hallo Martin, korrekt erkannt als Agapanthia pannonica, ein typischer aber nicht häufiger Bewohner von Wärme- und Trockenhängen, Weinbergen usw. Lebt bevorzugt auf Disteln, Skabiosen aber auch Umbelliferen. Inzwischen wieder zu A. cardui gestellt, hier führe ich ihn noch unter A. pannonica. Mediterrane Art, die bei uns die Nordgrenze ihres Areals erreicht. Schöner Fund, RL 2! LG, Christoph
