On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Comment: Hallo Peter, hier geht es für mich leider nur bis zur Gattung Cryptocephalus. Diese Biester sind tückischer, als wir früher angenommen haben. Ich geh bei sericeus nur noch zur Art, wenn ich sowohl die Dellen links und rechts der Halsschildbasis UND den s-färmigen Halsschildseitenrand sehe. Comment: Hallo Marco, herzlich willkommen auf kerbtier.de! Das ist ein Rüsselkäfer aus der Gattung Otiorhynchus. Die Larven entwickeln sich in den Wurzeln von Pflanzen, gerne an Topfpflanzen, die im Vorjahr draußen standen. Die schlüpfenden Käfer tauchen dann in der Wohnung oder auf dem Balkon auf. Zur Art bestimmen kann ich das Tier leider nicht. Otiorhynchus werden gerne über Topfpflanzen verschleppt, daher kann's auch was nicht-heimisches sein. LG, Christoph
