On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Comment: Moin Martin, nein, das ist tatsächlich eine Donacia, auch wenn sie rein optisch erstmal wie eine Plateumaris daher kommt. Die Unterscheidung der beiden Gattungen erfolgt über die Flügeldeckennaht, genauer den Absturz derselben. Bei Donacia ist diese normal gebilidet, bei Plateumaris im Absturz lippenartig verbreitert. Das merkmal kann man auf diesem Foto sehr gut erkennen udn sehen, dass keine Verbreiterung vorhanden ist. Donacia semicuprea. Viele Grüße, Klaas

Comment: Hallo Rasmus, ein Wollkäfer. Wenn die Perspektive nicht täuscht mit quadratischem Halsschild, deshalb ein Weibchen von der Frühjahrsart Lagria atripes. In Schleswig-Holstein ist dementsprechend noch Frühling. Bei mir im südlichen Niedersachsen sind auch schon die etwas schmaleren Lagria hirta unterwegs, die es im Sommer gibt. Viele Grüße, Michael Nach Konsultation mit den Co-Admins wohl doch wahrscheinlicher Lagria hirta. Perspektive kann täuschen, und kann schon sein dass in Schleswig-Holstein doch schon Sommer ist :) Nochmals viele Grüße, Michael

Comment: Hallo Chris, hier sehen wir am Scutellum, dass wir uns in einer anderen Familie befinden, es kann also keine Ciocolata sp. sein. Ich denke, hier haben wir Cacaosoma dulcis vor uns. Trotz zahlreicher Freßfeinde stabile Population in Mitteleuropa dank guter (Re-)Produktionsraten. LG, Christoph
