On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: Hallo Bestimmer-Team! Hier habe ich einen Cicindela hybrida (13 mm) für euch. Aber auch eine Frage: abgesehen von Haaren uff'm Kopp und der Beborstung am 1. Fühlerglied: was meint ihr damit, dass C. hybrida "am Habitus" erkannt werden kann (s. Anfragen)? Könnt ihr "den Habitus" bitte in Worte fassen (vs. C. silvicola)? Vielen Dank und Grüße! - - - [7.7.19, Hannover, Kugelfangtrift, 50 m] P.S.: Interessant zu sehen, dass sich die metallischglänzende Oberfläche nicht auf den gesamten Fühler erstreckt.

Comment: Hallo Vera, bestätigt als Cicindela hybrida. Ja, nur immer die ersten 4 Fühlerglieder sind metallisch (auch bei den anderen Arten). C. sylvicola ist gestreckter, d.h. die Elytren im Verhältnis zum Thorax länger und schmäler. Außerdem ist die Art in der Regel etwas anders und matter gefärbt. Diese Unterschiede erkennt man aber erst wirklich gut, wenn man schon einen Schwung Tiere gesehen hat - am besten unterm Bino. Danke für die Meldung. Viele Grüße, Fabian
