On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: Am Balkon unseres Hotelzimmers sitzend. In der Umgebung Olivenbäume, Orangenbäume und angepflanzter Park ähnlicher Garten. Fundort ist Lygia auf der Ionischen Insel Lefkas in Nord-Westgriechenland. Beim Naturgucker war man unsicher, ob es ein zottiger Bienenkäfer ist. Größe vielleicht 15-20mm (unsicher!)20.06.2018

Comment: Hallo postth, hier geht es für mich leider nur bis zur Gattung Trichodes, die sind in südlichen Gefilden sehr artenreich. LG, Christoph Die Aufnahme ist einfach perspektivisch ungünstig. Trichodes alvearius ist denkbar, käme nach Verbreitung aber haarscharf nicht in Frage. Der Fundort ist etwas (um 100 km) zu weit südlich. Aller Wahrscheinlichkeit nach Trichodes apiarius, aber leider absolut nicht sicher zu sagen. Viele Grüße, Klaas
