On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Comment: Hallo Tilmann, hier haben wir einen Vertreter der Gattung Bodilopsis vor uns (ehemals alle Aphodius, daher hier noch Aphodius sp.). Wenn man den Enddorn und das letzte Hintertarsenglied aus gutem Winkel scharf sieht kann man manchmal zu Art kommen. Hier geht das nicht. Es ist zwar wahrscheinlich rufa, aber sordidus kann man nicht ausschließen. Viele Grüße, Holger

Comment: Hallo ClaudiaL, bestätigt als Necrophorus vespilloides. Allerdings vorsicht: Die gelbe Flügeldeckenzeichnung ist mitunter variabel, auch wenn die Flecken in diesem Fall charakteristisch sind. Viel eindeutiger ist die Farbe der Fühlerkeule als Merkmal heranzuziehen: Diese ist schwarz und deshalb in unserer Fauna unverwechselbar. Alle anderen heimischen Nicrophilus zeigen eine orangene Fühlerkeule. Danke für die Meldung. Viele Grüße, Daniel
