View answered requests for beetle ID

On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

LG

Hello Bubikol, this one looks very interesting. It is a member of the family Byrrhidae. Although the genus Carpathobyrrhulus cannot be excluded, the most likely genus is Pedilophorus. The most widely distributed species would be Pedilophorus auratus, but there are a few more species with local occurrences on the Balkans. Probably several yet undescribed species as well. Anyway, a case that cannot be resolved with just one photo. Regards, Michael
