On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: Das ist vermutlich ein Agabus didymus. Am 06.09.2019 unter einem Stein in einem nahezu trockenem Bachbett auf einer Feuchtwiese nahe von Kölschhausen bei Ehringshausen gefunden. Länge: ca. 6,5 mm. Viele Grüße, Aron

Comment: Hallo Coleomaniac, das ist Agabus guttatus. Hierfür sprechen die relativ langen, schlanken Hintertarsen sowie die komplett roten Fühler. A. didymus hat eher kürzere, plumpere Hintertarsen und teilweise verdunkelte Fühlerglieder (Vergleiche mal Foto B in Anfrage # 74059). Die Fleckenzeichnung ist recht größenvariabel. Liebes Käferteam, ich habe leider keine Meinung, wohin dieses Tier gehören könnte. Seine Mundwerkzeuge erinnern mich an den hier gefundenen Schröter. Es war schnell wie ein Laufkäfer und stellte seinen Körper hinten auf. Könnt ihr mir etwas dazu sagen ? Danke für eure Mühe ! katrit

Comment: Moin Messi, es ist von hier aus nicht leicht das zu sagen, aber meiner Meinung nach eher Platysoma angustatum, da die Punktierung auf dem Halsschild recht grob zu sein scheint. Viele Grüße, Klaas Hm, hier sieht man die 3 ganzen und 3 verkürzten Streifen sehr deutlich und biegt im Schlüssel direkt zu elongatum ab. P. angustatum hat 4 ganze und 2 verkürzte, das sehe ich hier nicht. LG, Christoph
