On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

LG, Christoph

Request: S. Brás de Alportel (Algarve, Portugal). 07.08.2014. Atracted to a lamp. Near a river.
Species, family:
cf. Harmonia axyridis
Coccinellidae
Comment: Hi Nelfonseca, this is a member of family Coccinellidae. It is possibly Harmonia axyridis, but this one is imorph, just hatched out of pupa, so the colouring isn#t yet finished and makes it hard to identify. Best regards, Klaas

Species, family:
Protapion sp.
Apionidae
Sorry & LG, Christoph

Species, family:
Phyllobius sp.

Comment: Hi Karol, here I'll just give you the genus Phyllobius. Any further would be too shaky, so I better shut up this time. Best regards, Christoph

Request: Hallo,

Entwicklung in verschiedenen Laubbäumen, gerne Eiche. LG, Christoph

Request: 6.8.2014, ca 1cm lang
Hallo Forum,
könnte das Harpalus rubripes sein?
Danke und VG
GerKlein
Species, family:
Ophonus ardosiacus
Carabidae

Request: photo: august 2014, Herentals, Belgium
Beetle: 3-4 mm, on thistle
I think we 've in Belgium 2 species of Sphaeroderma.
S.rubidium and S.testaceum
I don't know the difference between those 2 but I can guess it isn't possible on this picture to ID
Species, family:
Sphaeroderma testaceum
Chrysomelidae
Comment: Hi verstraeten, taking a look at #17026 you can see the other species and compare. Sorry you can't use "compare photos" for that one, but there is only S. rubidum in the galery. Characters: S. rubidum, shorter, more rounded, more conglobate and more intensely reddish-brown. S. testaceum, more elongate, not conglobate and less intensely coloured, more yellowish-brown. Best regards, Klaas
