On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: 21.03.2020 - (KI: Aphodius prodromus, 7%, Rang 1) Puuuhh!??? Fragezeichen! Obwohl Foto A wahrscheinlich die beste Aufnahme ist, die mir von einem Tier dieser Gattung je geglückt ist, weiss ich nicht, ob es bis zur Art ausreicht. Der Versuch, den Seitenrand der Fld. "einzufangen", ist, wie man auf Bild C sieht, leider gescheitert :-( Das erstaunlich reinliche Tier sass an einem Holzscheit am Waldwegrand. Geschätzt war es 5 mm klein. Aargau, Hardwald Kaisten auf ca. 330 m üNN. Danke vielmals für Euren lehrreichen Käferunterricht! LG Chris

Den kann man ganz gut an seinem samtigen Aussehen erkennen, was dadurch zustande kommt, dass er bis zu 4 Reihen feiner Schuppen auf den Flügeldeckenzwischenräumen trägt.
