On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: 26.03.2020 - (KI: Mecinus pyraster, 8%, Rang 1)??? Mit vielen Fragezeichen!! Die Art ist für mich nicht nur neu sondern mit (gemessen) 3.5 mm Winzigkeit eigentlich auch unterhalb der Grenze meiner fotografischen Fähigkeiten :-/ Alle anderen "Verdächtigen" dieser Kleinheit mit der schlanken, ovalen Körperform wirken eher glatt. Bei diesem Tier habe ich erstaunlicherweise HAARE abgelichtet und eine Art "ridgeback" am Popo :-)) Das Schildchen wirkt bei meinem Individuum hell. Im Vergleich mit Fotos zur Art scheint es aber auch Tiere mit dunklerem Schildchen zu geben. So graubraun das Tier auf den Fotos auch aussieht ... im Sonnenlicht fiel es mir auf, weil es einen schönen Blauschimmer zu haben schien *seufz* Aargau, an einem Türrahmen in der Altstadt von Laufenburg auf ca. 330 m üNN. Aber nach meiner Recherche zur Gattung und der Erkenntnis, dass die in Deiner Umgebung artenreicher ist als z.B. in Deutschland, muss ich passen, was die genaue Bestimmung angeht. Comment: Hallo Jozef, du liebe Zeit, was für ein unglaublich dicker Käfer xD. Also der sieht nicht nach L. tessulatus aus. In Deiner Ecke gibt es weitere Arten in der Gattung, unter anderem L. lentus und L. gibbus, und vermutlich noch ein oder zwei weitere. Leider habe ich da am Foto keine Chance, die scheinen sich alle ziemlich ähnlich zu sein. Schade, knuffiges Tier :). Viele Grüße, Corinna
