On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: ich bin mir fast sicher, dass es sich um die Larve eines Gelbrandkäfers, Dytiscus marginalis, handelt, würde mich über eure Expertise doch freuen. Ca 30 Exemplare in Weidetümpel am 1.4.2020 gefunden in unterschiedlichen Größen (15-30mm)

Comment: Hallo Lurchi, ich kann insofern bestätigen, dass es die Larve eines Schwimmkäfers, Familie Dytiscidae, ist. Die Gattung Dytiscus ist es allerdings nicht, die weicht vom Habitus her etwas ab. Aber grundsätzlich ähneln sich viele Larven. Viele Grüße, Daniel

Request: 2020-04-01, Liebes käferteam, ich habe jetzt alle Gehörgänhge meiner Haushaltsmitglieder nach Pseudostaphylinus abgesucht, was sich wegen der Corona- Vorkehrungen sehr schwierig gestaltete - leider vergeblich.
Stattdessen lief mir auf meinem Gartenweg dieser kleine Läufer (4 mm) über die Platten. Von den Vorschlägen von KI gefällt mir Bembidion lampros am besten.
