On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: Hallo Käferfreunde, ein Ölkäfer kommt selten allein... Nachdem ich dann heute schon den ersten Ölkäfer meines Lebens hatte, folgte später mitten im Wald noch einer. Meloe violaceus, 16.04.2020. Und da der zweite Fund ganz sicher schon über der MTB-Grenze war, lohnt sich auch die Meldung. Wurde übrigens, wie man sieht, auch von diesen Minifliegen belästigt. Request: Hallo Käferfreunde, ich glaub es nicht! Jahrelang musste ich hier tatenlos die Ölkäferfotos betrachten und ich dachte, da find ich nie einen. Die gibt´s hier einfach nicht... Heute, 16.04.2020, an Waldrand (Lichtung). Die Dame hatte locker 3 cm zu bieten. Halsschild würde ich als gebuchtet interpretieren und deshalb Meloe violaceus in den Raum werfen. Aber warum wurde die so penetrant von diesen kleinen Fliegen belästigt? Hach, ich freu mich! Mein erster Ölkäfer und dann gleich noch im Doppelpack! :-) Viele Grüße
