On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Comment: Hallo Christine, das ist wahrscheinlich Xylophilus corticalis. Ein Kammkäfer, eng mit den Schnellkäfern verwandt. Würde ich auch gerne mal finden. Sternchen! Viele Grüße, Marcel Wahnsinn! In urständigen Wäldern an anbrüchigem Holz alter Bäume. In Europa von den Pyrenäen bis zum Kaukasus und von Südschweden bis Italien verbreitet, aber sehr verstreut und sehr selten; in Mitteleuropa besonders in den Alpen und deren Vorland, Böhmen, Mähren und der Slowakei, ferner in Schlesien und Oldenburg, Schleswig-Holstein.
