On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

am 25.04.2020 fand ich nachts im Wald an einer toten Buche diesen leider vom Baumpilz nahezu komplett zugestäubten Käfer. um die 4mm. Vermutlich lässt sich da nichts sagen, aber ich wollte ich jetzt nicht sauber machen, sondern lieber in Ruhe lassen.

am 25.04.2020 fand ich nachts im Wald diesen 12,1mm langen Schnellkäfer an einer alten Buche. Scheinbar gibt es einige ähnliche schwarze Elateriden. Welche Merkmale sollte ich im Speziellen fokussieren, damit eine Bestimmung eher möglich wäre?

Request: In (C) durch die Lichtreflexe/Kamera optisch "teilrasiert", was die KI beim Hochladen der Bilder zur Annahme gebracht hat, es könnte sich um eine Heteroptere handeln. Die dahinter stehende MI meint vermutlich aber auch Coleoptera, Byturus ochraceus? Gebüsch oberhalb des Rheinufers am Campingplatz, 2020-04-21.

Ich hatte damals unscharfe Fotos händisch aus dem Trainingsdatensatz entfernt - mit der Konsequenz, dass die KI jetzt Schwierigkeiten hat, sobald ein bisschen Unschärfe in die Fotos reinkommt.
