View answered requests for beetle ID

On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Species, family:
Donacia simplex
Chrysomelidae
Comment: Moin _Stefan_, immer genau hinsehen.

Request: 10.05.2020 13mm
Agapanthia?
Species, family:
Agapanthia violacea
Cerambycidae
Comment: Hi forgi, that is Agapanthia violacea. A. intermedia was separated as own species of this one. intermedia is the western species, violacea the eastern species. Meanwhile some coleopterologists watch at it as same species with a different status as subspecies. So in this case yours is Agapanthia violacea violacea whereas the other one would be Agapanthia violacea intermedia. Best regards, Klaas
