On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: 17.5.20, 4,5mm, An einer Margeritenblüte auf einem Autobahnrastplatz saß dieser Geselle. Der breite Halsschild und die schwarze Färbung machen in meinen Augen auch in Kombination zum recht rundlichen Körper Dasytes niger draus. Aber ich weiß auch, dass die Welt nicht so einfach ist, wie man das manchmal gern hätte und somit geb ich das Feld frei für die Experten. LG Stefan

Request: Hallo zusammen.
Heute habe ich beim Umtopfen einer Pflanze 4 Engerlinge entdeckt. Könnt Ihr erkennen, was für ein Käfer daraus wird? Ich lebe direkt am Waldrand und hatte in der Vergangenheit immer mal wieder Besuch von Maikäfern (von Gartenlaubkäfer, Rosenkäfer oder Nashornkäfer meiner Kenntnis nach jedoch nicht) Vielen Dank im Voraus für die Bestimmungshilfe!
