On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

wer ist denn dieser hübsche Geselle, den ich auf Wiesen-Klee (Trifolium pratense) beobachtet habe? Das Tier war ca. 3 - 4 mm lang und das Foto ist am 15.06.2014 auf dem Tippelsberg in Bochum entstanden.

Request: Huhu! Ich habe ein bisschen in der Rüsselkäfer-Grabbelkiste gewühlt und brauche Hilfe :-). Den hier hatte ich mir als Gymnetron cf. antirrhini notiert, geht da was? Gefunden am 23.06.2013 in Bickensohl, 283m üNN, auf der Pflanze in Foto B. Länge nicht notiert, tippe auf 3mm oder so. Danke schön und liebe Grüße!

Comment: Moin, olles Rüsselviech, die Königskerze (Verbascum) auf dem zweiten Foto zeigt schön die Entwicklungspflanze und genau an die gehört Gymnetron tetrum. Vergleich mal den Habitus mit antirhini. tetrum ist deutlich breiter und rundlicher gebaut als antirhini. Viele Grüße, Klaas

Request: Dieses Tier saß auf einem Stiefmütterchen am Kriegerdenkmal in Schweinheim, 218m üNN. Gefunden am 14.04.2013. Länge weiß ich leider nicht mehr, vermutlich um 3mm. Hab mir Ceutorhynchus sp. notiert, aber da gibts so viele! Und die sehen ja alle gleich aus! Meine Glaskugel sagt C. obstrictus. Lieben Gruß!

Comment: Hallo Klaus, yup, das ist Stenagostus rhombeus. Dämmerungs- und nachaktiver Bewohner alter Laubwälder. Larve räuberisch unter der Rinde absterbender oder toter Laubbäume, vor allem Buche. Von den Pyrenäen über Mitteleuropa bis Kleinasien. LG, Christoph

Comment: Moin Gert, bedauerlich, dass es hier keine weiteren und größeren Aufnahmen des Halsschildes gibt, bzw. man nicht alle Merkmale einsehen kann. Vermutlich Ampedus cardinalis, aber leider nicht sicher. Toller Nachweis und schöne Fotos. Beste Grüße, Klaas Hallo Gert und Klaas, das ist die Nachbarart von Ampedus cardinalis, A. praeustus. Vor allem erkenntlich am kurzen Halsschild (bei cardinalis stets sehr lang) und an den geschwärzten Flügeldeckenspitzen, zu sehen in Bild B, zu erahnen in Bild A. Zudehm macht cardinalis immer einen sehr schmalen, langen Eindruck, während praeustus ein wenig gedrungener wirkt. Die Schwärzungen der Elytren können bei A. praeustus in seltenen Fällen fehlen, sind jedoch bei A. cardinalis nie vorhanden. Die Nachweise von Ampedus praeustus stammen stets aus sehr alten Baumbeständen, meist Eiche. Ein Klasse Fund und so weit nördlich deutlich seltener als A. cardinalis. VG Thomas

Request: Auch dieser süße kleine Knuffel bittet um ein Pünktchen auf der Karte: Mononychus punctumalbum, gefunden am 27.06.2014 am Eifeltor in Köln, 51m üNN, Länge etwa 4-5mm. Das isser doch, oder? Schwertlilien gibts da gar keine, fällt mir jetzt auf. Vielen Dank!
