View answered requests for beetle ID
|
On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: Curculio betulae ? found 23-06-2013 15:30 in Belgium (ref 77084830)
Species, family:
Curculio sp.
Curculionidae
Comment: Hi GertVH, I think this is Curculio nucum. Best regards, Christoph Klaas has doubts about the apex of the elytra, which would speak in favor of C. glandium. Probably better to name it as Curculio sp., unless further opinions from the admin team lead to a conclusion. Regards, Christoph

Request: 14.04.2013 ca. 2-3mm?
Species, family:
Cryptophagus sp.
Cryptophagidae
