On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: Hallo, lassen sich diese kleinen Kerle bestimmen? KL ca. 2-3 mm - leider ließen sie sich bei der kleinsten Berührung des Halms zu Boden fallen und waren dann nicht mehr gesehen, daher nur dieses höchst suboptimale Foto. 18.07.2020, 430 m; Krautschicht neben Wiesen/Weiden.

Comment: Moin Tsubame, Cassida viridis ist eine rein grüne Art, die größte der Gattung bei uns, breiter und damit flacher gebaut, als die meisten anderen Arten. viridis entwickelt sich an Mentha, vermutlich bevorzugt Mentha aquatica und der hier sitzt ganz offensichtlich auf Distel. Das ist Cassida rubiginosa. Viele Grüße, Klaas
