On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: Guten Tag,

Species, family:
Tritoma bipustulata
Erotylidae
Comment: Hallo Mr. Pampa, nein da liegst Du weit daneben. Schau Dir die "eiförmige" Körperform an. Das ist Tritoma bipustulata, eine Erotylidae. Europa, Kaukasus bis Sibirien. Mycetobiont. lg gernot

Species, family:
Amara cf. similata

Was meint Ihr? Wie immer schönen Dank!
Species, family:
Sphenophorus striatopunctatus
Curculionidae

LG, Christoph

Comment: Hi Gert, genus Sitophilus (formerly Calandra) is correct. Most likely S. oryzae. The sister species S. zeamais can become quite simlar (see here how to distinguish them). Unfortunately I don't dare to do this last step 100% sure based on your photos, therefore I put a cf. Regards, Christoph

Dort an Pelzen, Teppichen etc. schädlich. LG, Christoph

Thank you very much.Best regards
Species, family:
Platynus cf. scrobiculatus
Carabidae
Comment: Hi mario, I think it should be Platynus scrobiculatus, although some characteristika are not clearly visible. So there is insecurity and other species of the genus Platynus occur in Slovakia as well (e.g. Platynus glacialis). I leave this for a second opinion. Best, Fabian I can't say more than Fabian already did. Regards, Christoph

Species, family:
Limodromus cf. assimilis
Carabidae
Comment: Hi mario, this is either Limodromus assimilis or Limodromus longiventris. I am tended to say L. assimilis, but the perspective of your photo is not perfect for species identification (photo from above would be better). I leave this for a second opinion. Best regards, Fabian I lean towards L. assimilis, but will leave the cf. to show that's still not 100% certain. Regards, Christoph
