On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: Cetonia aurata, mit Beweisfoto des Mesosternalfortsatzes in Foto C, etwa 16mm lang, flog mir auf einem Weg zwischen Feld und Wald ins Rad, am 30.05.2020. Zum Glück war das Tierchen unbeschädigt und hat sich sehr schnell wieder berappelt. Ein bisschen zuuu schnell, um noch ein richtig schönes Foto zu machen - *brrrummm* :D.

Comment: Hallo Kasimo, ich meine, den kann man als Cetonia aurata durchgehen lasse, auch ohne Foto der Unterseite. Tomentierte Knie sehe ich jedenfalls nicht, da müsste man deutlich weiße Behaarung sehen, wenn sie da wäre. Da darf aber noch jemand zweites ein OK dazugeben. Viele Grüße, Corinna Ok!

Ich lösche Foto C hier raus, das ist das länglichere, rötlich gefärbte Tier. Es ist eine andere Art, ich vermute C. elephas, könntest Du den daher bitte nochmal getrennt einreichen? Comment: Hallo E1MEX, ganz im Gegenteil, die Götter der Käferbestimmung sind Dir wohlgesonnen und haben Dir ein Fotomodell geschickt, das einfach zu bestimmen ist :). Das ist Hypera zoilus, der sich durch seine dicke Nase von seinen Gattungsgenossen abhebt. Otiorhynchus allerdings hat noch kürzere Nasen, und die sind meist auch nicht so drehrund (also im Querschnitt), sondern mehr oder weniger kräftig gekielt und zur Spitze hin verbreitert.
