On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: Diesen etwa 5mm großen Blattkäfer fand ich am 12.08.15 in einem Feuchtgebiet. Es waren wohl auch ein paar Birken dort, reicht das in Verbindung mit der blauen Färbung für Altica aenescens ?

Comment: Hallo Gabriele, wenn Du Dich mit der Größe nicht allzu sehr verhauen hast, ist das Platycerus caraboides. Aber da Du Dir da nicht sicher warst und ich die Verwechslungsart P. caprea an diesen Bildern nicht ausschließen kann, setze ich erstmal ein cf. Vielleicht nehmen die anderen das noch weg.
