On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

am 23.01.2021 sah ich diese ca. 6 mm große Larve in einem Pilz (Flammulina sp.), eine Pilzmücke will/kann ich daher nicht ausschließen, halte aber auch eine Käferlarve für möglich.

Comment: Hallo GreatSkua, na na na, das ist doch kein Carabus *tadel*. Der Bursche gehört zu den Mistkäfern, Familie Geotrupidae. Dann wird ein bisschen haarig aufgrund des schlechten Zustands des armen Kerls und der Unschärfe des Fotos. Ich tippe auf Trypocopris vernalis wegen der glatt wirkenden Fld., aber Anoplotrupes stercorosus kann auch nicht mit letzter Sicherheit ausgeschlossen werden.
