On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: Liebes Team,
am 18.02.2021 fand ich in einem kleinen Rinnsal auf dem "Käferberg" in Zürich diesen ca. 8mm langen Käfer. Kann man daraus mehr als einen Agabus machen, vielleicht einen A. guttatus? In dem Rinnsal leben noch so 3-4mm lange schwarze Käfer, aber von denen habe ich (noch) kein gutes Foto bekommen.

Comment: Hallo Berliner Käfer, den halte ich aufgrund der Färbung der Kiefertaster (Basis des letzten Gliedes dunkel) für Agabus biguttatus (bei A. guttatus ist dieses komplett rötlich). Leichte Restunsicherheit. Viele Grüße, Daniel

Request: 04.08.1999, ich erlaube mir mal einige Mylabris, ich denke andere haben damit auch Probleme vielleicht hilft es wenn mehr Bestimmungen nachschlagbar sind. Dieser war der Größte, etwa 25mm, von Chalkidiki. Ich habe ihn als Mylabris calida. Vielen Dank für eure Mühe, LG, Tomm
