On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: Bei dem Tier 3,5 mm weiß ich nicht, wo ich suchen muss. Bei Coelostoma hat ein für mich ähnlicher Käfer schwarze Kieferntaster. Gefunden unter Totholz, 01.04.2021 bei Hornstein, 640 üNN. Vielen Dank und Gruß Christine

Request: 30.3.21, In einem soweit ich weiß dauerhaften Fahrspurgewässer am Rand eines Waldes neben einem sumpfigen Gewässer fand ich diesen Wasserkäfer. Ich hab bei Vergleichen Ähnlichkeiten am ehesten zu Hydroglyphus pusillus festgestellt. Aber knapp 4mm sind da zu weit drüber für meinen Geschmack. Könnt ihr helfen? Comment: Hallo _Stefan_, da hattest Du ein richtiges Bauchgefühl. H. geminus (=H. pusillus) ist deutlich kleiner. Das ist entweder Hydroporus dorsalis oder Hydroporus figuratus, die ich an den vorliegenden Fotos leider nicht trennen kann. Hier noch in der Gattung Suphrodytes, in der die Arten mal standen. am 01.04.2021 viele Cicindela campestris auf Schotterweg, sonnig, leicht ansteigend, im Wald. Ließen mich nie näher als 1,5m an sich ran. Einer, der mindestens 15 mal wieder aufflog, war schließlich müde und konnte mit einem Pullover dingfest gemach werden. In der Hand fing er sogleich an, in meine Finger zu beißen.
