On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: 12.5.15 Ziegelbachbrücke 810m auf Traubenkirsche
Gonioctena ? "quinquepunctata" oder schon palida
Species, family:
Gonioctena cf. quinquepunctata
Chrysomelidae

Request: Found today. Mountain forest, South Poland. Length about 1 cm.
Species, family:
Brachygonus sp.
Elateridae
Comment: Hello Inja, not sure but looks like a Brachygonus species. The genus was historically part of genus Ampedus. Ampedus cf. nigerrimus, however, would be my second choice. Brachygonus should have two lines/keels on the hind winkles of pronotum. However, I can't identify this detail with the pictures provided. Maybe one of the other admins is able to clarify identification. Best regards, Oliver

Request: Am 12.5.2015 ist dieser Laufkäfer im Garten (80m NN) zugeflogen. 6,5mm lang.
Lässt sich diese Art bestimmen? Danke
Species, family:
Amara cf. anthobia
Carabidae

LG, Christoph
