On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Comment: Hallo Felix, bestätigt als Loricera pilicornis, dank der gut sichtbaren und enormen Borsten an den ersten Fühlergliedern. Diese dienen übrigens dazu, die Lieblingsbeute der Käfer, nämlich Springschwänze, einzusperren und an der Flucht durch Hüpfen zu hindern. Hart ist das Leben im Holz ;). Danke für die Meldung. Comment: Hallo Felix, bestätigt als Stenocarus ruficornis. Auf Foto B sieht man sehr schön, dass die Halsschildhöcker nicht ganz außen am Rand sitzen, sondern ein wenig nach innen gerückt sind. Das schließt den selteneren S. cardui aus, der ansonsten recht ähnlich ist, wenn auch etwas größer (ab 3,7mm). Beide Arten entwickeln sich an Mohn. Danke für die Meldung. Viele Grüße, Corinna
