On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Comment: Hi majo, in this case I can just determine the genus Nycteus, a genus with only six species in Europe and a South European distribution. As a guess, it could be the Southeast European species N. hopffgarteni. Best regards, Heike Confirmed as Nycteus hopffgarteni because the species has been found in Slovakia before.
