On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: 22.05.2015, so, jetzt gibts noch ein Schmankerl: Weibchen von Anthaxia candens. War gar nicht so schnell zu finden, da in der Datenbank das Männchen abgebildet ist das anders gefärbt ist.
Das Ablichten war ein echter Krimi.
Der Käfer saß unter einem alten Kirschbaum in der Wiese (kleiner Streifen zwischen intensiv bewirtschafteten Feldern)ganz oben auf einem Grashalm und schwankte fürchterlich im Wind. Ich mußte erst den Foto aus dem Rucksack klauben und alles einstellen, wärend ich betete, daß das hübsche Viechle nicht den Abflug macht- was er kurz darauf nat. tat. Die Bilder sind entsprechend, aber ich denke, man kanns erkennen. Viele Grüßle

Request: Heute von der Straße gerettet, 22.5.15, ca. 25 mm. Wegen spitz ausgezogener Halsschildhinterwinkel, fast gerader Halsschildhinterkante und Kettenmusterung denke ich, es könnte sich um Carabus monilis handeln (und nicht um C. granulatus). War im Odenwald am Übergang zum Rheintal, das würde ja auch passen. Wäre toll, wenn's stimmte. Schönen Dank und viele Grüße
