On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: Hallo, 29.05.2021, NSG "Mittagsfels", Niederalben. Lachnaia sexpunctata habe ich von hier schon einmal 2019 gemeldet, aber heute war der Käfer so damit beschäftigt, runde Löcher in das Eichenblatt zu fressen, dass ich unbemerkt Fotos machen konnte.

Größe ca. 3,5mm, im Garten bei Holzarbeiten gefunden. Meine Vermutung ist Carpophilus mutilatus. Auf Bild B sind auch die Fühlerglieder gut zu erkennen.

Comment: Hallo Kasimo, bestätigt als Harmonia axyridis, zur Genetik gibt es bereits unterschiedliche Studien. Dominanzverhältnisse der Muster sind Schwarz-2Punkt > Schwarz-4Punkt > Schwarz-n-Punkt > Rot-n-Punkt (s. Gautier et al., 2018, Current Biology 28, 1–7), d.h. bei diesem Paar sollten viele (aber nicht zwingend ausschließlich, da sich im Männchen ein rezessives Allel verstecken kann) schwarze 4-Punktlinge raus kommen.
