On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Comment: Hallo mausi670, das ist Doydirhynchus austriacus. Dass das Tier offenbar nicht auf einer ebenen Fläche laufen kann, hast Du sehr schön beobachtet. Die Tiere leben an Kiefernadeln und brauchen laufend die Berührungsreize (sog. thigmische Reize) der Kiefernnadeln, an denen sie sich vorbeischlängeln. Fehlen die, klappt's nicht mit der Fortbewegung. Danke für die Meldung. LG, Christoph

Request: Hallo zusammen,
diesen Laufkäfer finde ich trotz der Auffälligkeit in der Galerie nicht... Die Gattung Leistus scheint mir ganz gut zu passen, aber Leistus ferrugineus z.B. hat keinen schwarzen Kopf etc... Kann man hier mehr sagen?
Gefunden am 29.05.2021 in einem trockenen Graben zwischen Maisfeldern unter Schnittgut (wohl hauptsächlich Brombeersträucher, auf jeden Fall stachelige Astreste).
