On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Comment: Hallo thinkpinx, das ist ein Rüsselkäfer aus der Unterfamilie Cossoninae. An diesem Foto nicht bis zur Art zu bestimmen. Die Käfer entwickeln sich in altem trockenen Holz, gern auch in Balken und Dielenbrettern. Viele Grüße, Michael Jetzt hatte ich die Käfer unter dem Bino, es ist Hexarthrum exiguum, ziemlich seltene Art, die aber schon öfter in Gebäuden nachgewiesen wurde. Nochmals viele Grüße, Michael

Request: 28.05.2015, Gießen, Stadtrand, Waldrand, Garten, Apfelbaum, 218m. Ich vermute, dass es sich um einen Asiatischen Marienkäfer handelt. Kenne aber immer noch nicht das charakteristische Merkmal, an dem diese Art sicher zu erkennen ist. Mir bisher nicht bekannte Farbkombination: links rot, rechts orange.

Comment: Hallo Kaugummi, bestätigt als Harmonia axyridis. Es gibt ein Merkmal, das vorhanden sein muss: Eine Falte am Flügeldeckenabsturz. In diesem Foto von Bergmänndle sieht man sie z.B. recht gut. Zusammen mit einem der typischen Farbungsmuster kann man sie leicht festklopfen. LG, Christoph
