Comment: Moin Rüttger, eindeutig Cetonia aurata. Du kannst es aber selbst schon entsprechend einschätzen. Die Larven vom Nashornkäfer leben in sich zersetzendem Holz, vor allem Eichenholz. Da bei uns die Winter in den meisten Regionen noch zu kalt sind, schaffen sie es meist nur in den Haufen aus Holzschnitzeln, wie sie bei den Pflegearbeiten der Grünflächenämter anfallen. Nur in den südlichsten und südöstlichsten Lagen schaffen sie es bei uns auch in toten Bäumen. Wenn also Holzhaufen, ist die Wahrscheinlichkeit sehr groß, dass Nashornkäfer, wenn normaler Kompost, dann in der Regel Cetonia aurata. Viele Grüße, Klaas

Request: Moin Bestimmungsteam, wusste gar nicht, dass sich Mistkäfer mitunter auch für Baumsäfte interessieren... Zur Artbestimmung reicht das Foto aus dem dunklen Wald sicher nicht aber ich war irritiert, da sie sich ja sonst primär mit Pferdeäpfeln beschäftigen. Foto von heute, 01.06.2015.

Comment: Moin Shamrock, reicht aus. Anoplotrupes stercorosus, der Waldmistkäfer ist's. Die Jungs gehen an ziemlich viel Kram, so neben dem üblichen Pferdedung im Wald auch an Wildlosung, Aas, vergammelnde Pilze und an Baumsäfte, wenn sie schon ordentlich gammelig (vergoren) sind.
