On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Comment: Hallo Christoph, bestätigt als Panagaeus cruxmajor. Das Habitat passt perfekt zu dem, und man kann auch deutlich ausgeprägte Schläfen erkennen. Comment: Hallo CHK, nach Klausnitzer Larvenband 4, Abb 53 könnte das Necrodes sein, aber ähnlich ist Thanatophilus. Tatsächlich ist hier das 1. Glied der Urogomphi viel länger als das 2. (Pfeil), also nach Klausnitzer Thanatophilus, wobei T. rugosus (rund, dunkel gerandet) ausgeschlossen werden kann. Nach Int J Legal Med 132, 1795–1804 und 133, 1549–1565 das L3 von Thanatophilus sinuatus. Nach Klausnitzer wäre T. dispar stärker abgeflacht. Danke für die Meldung. Viele Grüße, Heike
