On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: Hallo zusammen, diesen absoluten Winzling (deshalb sind die Fotos auch so grottig, sorry!) fand ich am 13. Oktober 2011 auf einem Spitzwegerich (brachliegendes Grundstück). Die größte Ähnlichkeit entdecke ich bei Aphthona. Gemäß dem Fall, dass das stimmt, geht bestimmt nicht mehr, oder doch? Liebe Grüße

Request: Hallo Zusammen,
heute, bei schönen Wetter, gab es endlich wieder was zu fotografieren. Dabei konnte ich diese Käfer in Ennepetal / NRW aufnehmen. Die großen Plattkäfer sind ca. 8 mm groß.
Welche Käfer könnten es sein ?

Comment: Hallo Ruth, korrekt, anhand der charakteristischen Halsschildbeschuppung leicht als Möhrenrüssler Liparus coronatus zu erkennen. Europa bis Kaukasus. Stenotop, xerophil, an sandigen Stellen, z.B. Bach- und Flußauen sowie Trocken- und Wärmehängen und Weinbergen. Oligophag auf Umbelliferen. LG, Christoph

Comment: Hallo Frank85, da kann man leider nicht sehr viel erkennen. So vage würde ich mal in die Ecke der Rosenkäfer schielen, wenn das Tier so 15-20 mm lang war. Bitte nicht wegsaugen! Könnte auch was ziemlich Seltenes sein ... auf ein Blatt krabbeln lassen und draussen fliegen lassen. lg gernot

Boreomontane Art, Nordareal Ostseeküste und Südschweden, Südareal Bayern, Österreich, in den höheren Gebirgen Südosteuropas. Unter der morschen Rinde von Nadelhölzern, seltener Laubhölzern. Selten, in Deutschland vom Aussterben bedroht, RL 1. Schöner Fund - nur leider ohne Datum und Fundortangabe. LG, Christoph

Comment: Hallo fringilla, anhand der leicht geknickten und im Knick verdickten Fühler sowie dem kräftig punktierten Kopf und Halsschild als Weibchen von Meloe proscarabaeus zu erkennen. Aktivitätszeit von Anfang März bis Juni, mit Hauptzeit von April bis Mai. Paläarktisch verbreitet, Nordafrika, Europa, bis Ostasien und Japan. Bei uns hier in D die häufigste Meloe-Art. LG, Christoph

Comment: Hallo Ruth, Lixus am Foto ist ziemlich schwierig. Nach den Bild kommen aus meiner Sicht Lixus angustatus (neuerdings pulverulentus) aber auch Lixus bardanae in Betracht. Letzterer gilt in BW aber als verschollen und lebt an Ampferarten in Feuchtgebieten. Distel (wie auf dem Foto) würde eher zu angustatus passen. Trotzdem traue mir mehr als Lixus sp. nicht zu. lg gernot Auf der Distel können wir schon einen L. cf. angustatus draus machen. LG, Christoph

Comment: Hallo Ruth, das ist Obrium cantharium. Körper rölichbraun, Beine braun. Auch den schmalen Abstand zwischen den Augen kann man erkennen. Juni, Juli, entwickelt sich in Laubbäumen. Kommt zwar nahezu bundesweit vor, ist aber ziemlich selten, RL2!! Schöner Fund! lg gernot
