On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Comment: Hi Inja, I think this is one of our Hemicrepidius sp., probably H. niger. The form with light brown elytra is called var. scrutator. From Asia over Europe (without the North) to the Pyrenees. In Central Europe in regions with cooler, more humid climate. Regards, Christoph

Comment: Hallo Urobst, Deine Unsicherheit ist berechtigt, es ist eine Chrysanthia viridissima. Abgesehen vom Größenunterschied (Aromia moschata 13-34 mm, Chrysanthia viridissima 7-10 mm), vergleich mal die Unterschiede im Körperbau der beiden hier. Oft neigt man gerade am Anfang dazu, hauptsächlich auf die Färbung der Tiere zu achten. Nun als nächsten Schritt die Körperform mit in die Betrachtung/Bestimmung einbeziehen. LG, Christoph
