On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: Huhu! Ich denke, das sollte Bruchus affinis sein, mit dem weit vorne gelegenen Zahn an der Halsschildseite? Länge knapp 4mm, gefunden an Lathyrus an einem Ackerrand, am 11.07.2021.

Comment: Hallo Rüsselkäferin, auf der Basis der Lage des Halsschild-Zahnes sollte es Bruchus affinis sein. Das Pronotum sollte allerdings deutlich grau und gelblich behaart sein. Die Färbung und das recht intensive Muster der Elytren lassen mich zögern. Gibt es eine Zweitmeinung? Viele Grüße, Heike Ich sag auch affinis. LG, Christoph

Comment: Hallo Chris71, hier geht es für mich leider nur bis zur Gattung Curculio. Für C. nucum ist das Schildchen zu schmal. Das Tierchen sieht etwas länglich aus, grenzwertig zwischen C. elephas und den anderen Arten mit schmalem Schildchen. Da komme ich nicht weiter, sorry. Viele Grüße, Corinna
