On this page you can find photos submitted by users. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case at least a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Comment: Hallo Claudia, das sollte eher Dytiscus dimidiatus sein, da die Halsschildbasis nicht gelb gerandet ist. Danke für die Meldung. lg, Gernot Hallo Claudia und Gernot, den halte ich für D. marginalis. Für dimidiatus ist der Vorderrand zu breit gelb gefärbt. Der ist insgesamt relativ dunkel, so dass die Halsschildfärbung an der Basis eher täuscht. LG, Daniel

Fundort: Rheinland-Pfalz, Pfälzer Wald, Neustadt, 267 m ü.NN.
Habitat: Größere Anzahl von fliegenden Käfern in der Nähe einer Ansammlung von mutmaßlichen Seidenbienen an einem südexponierten sandigen Hang im Mischwald.
Länge: ca. 8 mm.
Art: Stenoria analis?
Sonstiges: Ein Exemplar wurde ohne Hilfsmittel im Flug gefangen und nach dem Fotografieren unversehrt wieder freigelassen (Fotos: Stefan Kahlert mit freundlicher Genehmigung).
