On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: Hallo miteinander, könnte es sich hier um Mezium americanum handeln? Der saß eines morgens an der Wand unserer Höhlenwohnung (23.05.21) Ca 2mm. Neben M. americanum gibts wohl noch Mezium horridum (endemisch, aber nicht auf Teneriffa) und Mezium sulcatum. Der hat aber lange weiße Borsten auf den Flügeldecken... LG und Dank, Christoph

Request: Hallo zusammen, ein weiterer Fund von Teneriffa (30.05.21). Dieses Tier halte ich nach Vergleichen auf https://www.biodiversidadcanarias.es/ für Oryctes prolixus (m). Tolle Tiere :D und in dem Fall auch endemisch. Hatte das Vergnügen mit 2 seiner Art. LG Christoph

Request: Ich hatte die hier im Wald und MTB schon mal angefragt; das sollte Corticeus unicolor sein. 20-30 Exemplare um den Baum herumlaufend oder anderweitig aktiv sowie weitere den Hintern aus winzigen Löchern herausstreckend. Teilen sich das Plätzchen mit Colydium e. aus vorheriger Anfrage, von denen es auch einige gibt, sowie den Cerylons, die wie Miniaturvarianten hiervon wirken. Ansonsten hab ich die zuvor eher einzeln oder zu zweit gefunden. 30.09.2021

Request: Diesen hier kann ich noch nicht gut zuordnen; ist mir ins Bild gelaufen, dann unter der Rinde verschwunden. Kleiner als die unicolors an selber Stelle, größer als die Cerylons. Fotos B+c geben die Farbe eher wieder, eher rötlich. Ein Rhizophagus vielleicht oder nahe dran?
