On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: Bramwald, kleiner Teich, 27.3.2022, 17,1 mm, Dytiscidae? Ich hab 4 Euro investiert und mir einen kleinen Sieb gekauft, mit dem man Wasserkäfer fangen kann. Hat auf Anhieb geklappt, wie ein Fisch im Kescher. Dann in einen weissen Becher rein, erstmal trocken von unten, dann etwas Wasser dazu, hat ganz brav stillgehalten.

Request: Halte ich für Leiodes calcarata (Weibchen), hier Leiodes polita. Mit kleiner Restunsicherheit, denn einige Merkmale zum Ausschlüsseln sind nicht sichtbar. Als ich den Käfer bemerkte, lag er auf dem Rücken, kurz danach lief er schnell davon. Ca. 2,8mm. 11.03.2022
