On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Comment: Hallo matpfalz, ich bleibe lieber bei Familie Phalacridae. Auch bei den Stilbus-Arten gibt es hinten rot gefleckte. Man muss die Nahtstreifen längs der Fld.-Naht sehen (einfach oder verdoppelt) um Olibrus oder Stilbus festzumachen. LG, Christoph

Request: Hallo, 15.04.2022, südlicher Waldrand der "Preußischen Berge" bei Thalichtenberg, ein Buntkäfer unter der abblätternden Rinde einer abgestorbenen Esche. Versteckte sich in einem Fraßgang eines Borkenkäfers. Tilloidea unifasciata!

Request: Guten Tag und schon mal ein schoenes Osterwochenende!
Ab und an hatte ich das Gefuehl die C. unicolor sind nicht immer welche. Bisher hatte ich mir das halbherzig angeschaut und wenn dann wars wohl doch unicolor. Hier von gestern, das Tier sieht aber schon anders aus als ziemlich sicherere unicolor ein paar Baeume zuvor. Vor Ort eher etwas heller so wie zB das fraxini Referenzbild hier und nicht der unicolor Look (die Fotos sind etwas aufgehellt). Die Augen treten deutlicher hervor. Der Halsschild sieht anders aus insbesondere vorne; die eine Falte fehlt bzw ist nur schwach zw. den Augen. Die Laenge ist ca. 5mm am unteren Ende von unicolor. Laeuft an offener Stelle einer Hainbuche herum, 15.04.2022; ansonsten gibts reichlich andere Baumarten drum herum inkl mehrere Arten Nadelholz. Den Th. pectoralis fand ich zuerst auch dort in der Naehe an Hainbuche obwohl wohl mehr Nadelholzart. Viel zu viele Worte um zu sagen, dass ich nicht weiss was ich sehe :) Danke fuers Bestimmen!
