On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

dieser Winzling, nur 2-3 mm groß fiel mir heute, 24.7.2015, auf einem breiten Grasblatt an meinem Gartenzaun in Gernsbach auf. Leider versteckt er seine Fühler oder hat sie verloren, so dass ich etwas hilflos bin; ein Anobiidae vielleicht?

Request: Thanatophilus cf. sinuatus? Ich habe diesen Käfer ebenfalls aus dem in #32712 auf Foto B abgebildeten Kadaver geschüttelt. Er versuchte, sich als Rothalssilphe zu tarnen ... tststst ...im Abgleich mit eurer Datenbank habe ich eine andere Vermutung. Aargau, gefährlicher Waldweg Kaisten auf ca. 330 m üNN am 22.07.2015 - Danke vielmals für euren geduldigen Unterricht! LG Chris

Comment: Hallo Christine, in Bild B meine ich an der linken Flügeldecke die "Kantung" beim siebten Zwischenraum zu erahnen. Dann wäre es O. mollis. lg, Gernot Die Kante seh ich nicht so gut, aber stattdessen seh ich einen recht dicken Halsschild, der dann plötzlich verengt ist. Das spräche dann für Opilo domesticus.
